Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Bikini Waxing.

Hair should be about a quarter inch (around six millimeters) long so wax can grip properly. If hair is too short waxing won't remove it; if it's too long your therapist may trim slightly for comfort and better results.

Sensation varies by person: waxing pulls hair from the root, so you may feel brief discomfort, but it’s fast and short-lived. Many clients find it less irritating than shaving over time, with smoother results and less frequent maintenance.

Most clients return every three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and reduce density over time. Your therapist will recommend an interval based on your cycle, hair type, and desired appearance.

You can get waxed during your period, though some clients are more sensitive then. If you feel uncomfortable or have heavy flow, rescheduling is fine. We provide discreet, hygienic accommodations and can adjust timing to maximize your comfort.

Avoid hot baths, saunas, tight clothing, and swimming for 24-48 hours. Apply a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer and avoid exfoliation for 48 hours unless advised. If redness or bumps persist, use a soothing aloe or consult your therapist for products.

Contraindications include recent chemical peels, retinol use, sunburn, open wounds, or certain skin conditions. Inform your therapist about medications, pregnancy, or health concerns. We’ll assess skin and may recommend postponing waxing or an alternative hair-removal method.
