Some discomfort is typical but brief; sensations vary with individual tolerance and area. We use techniques to minimize pain, including skin tension and fast removal. Results often last two to six weeks depending on hair growth and aftercare.

Arrive with clean, dry skin and hair about quarter-inch long for best results. Avoid heavy creams, sun exposure, and exfoliation 24-48 hours before. Inform your therapist of medications or sensitivities to ensure safe treatment.

Avoid hot baths, saunas, vigorous exercise, and direct sun for 24-48 hours. Apply a calming, fragrance-free lotion and gentle exfoliation after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs. Keep the area clean and avoid tight clothing initially.

Ideally hair should be about one quarter inch (6mm) to allow the wax to grip properly. If hair is too short, waxing may be less effective; if too long, we can trim to the optimal length before treatment.

Some redness or mild irritation is normal and usually subsides within hours. Proper technique, post-wax exfoliation, and moisturization reduce ingrown hair risk. If you have a history of severe reactions, consult us beforehand for alternatives or a patch test.

Those with open wounds, sunburn, recent chemical peels, active skin infections, or using retinoids or certain acne medications should avoid waxing. Pregnant clients or those with medical concerns should notify us so we can advise or offer alternatives.
